I got these two nail varnishes a couple of months ago and for some reason, hadn't used them yet, so today I thought I would give them a go and also write a quick review.
These nail varnishes are both by Barry M and each cost £3 from River Island, although I'm sure they are probably cheaper in somewhere like Boots or Superdrug. Firstly I applied the Blue Grape 331, Gelly, Hi-Shine to all of my nails and then applied the Amethyst Glitter over the top of alternate nails. The colours are not normally the type I would pick, I usually go for more classic colours, like red or a French manicure, but I thought today I would have a play around and go for something a bit more fun!
I actually really like the colours and although they aren't really suitable for work, their OK for the weekend. Both nail varnishes went on really smoothly and dried fairly quickly, which is great for me as I am constantly on the go and am way too impatient to wait for my nails to dry. The Blue Gelly nail varnish is high shine, which is great if you don't have time to apply a topcoat. I don't usually go for glitter, but I actually don't mind this one, its very sparkly and when it catches the light it kind of twinkles, which is delightful.
