DRESSING ROOM DILEMMA 22.2.14

Todays dressing room dilemma:

You want all of these lovely clothes from TOPSHOP, but you are totally skint...What do you do?

My answer...Put them back one by one, holding back tears, then go home and sulk.

BUY ME - £34
I thought I'd do a quick outfit of the day post for yesterday as I didn't get a chance to blog properly yesterday.  I got this cute tassel sleeved dress from inlovewithfashion.com a couple of weeks ago, you may have seen me wearing it at the LFW bloggers event, if not, then here it is again.

NEW LOOK DISCOVER DENIM BUS 22.2.14

I was scrolling through my Iphone photos today and discovered these little gems, which I'm sorry to say I completely forgot about! A couple of weeks ago I was in a mad dash to get to several different meetings for the brand and as I was passing through Nottingham's city centre I came across the New Look Discover Denim Bus, I had a few minutes to spare so popped in to check it out.

Inside was cram packed with the new SS14 denim collection, sweet treats, vouchers, comps and a nail bar!  Aswell as this was exclusive videos showing insider info on the latest collection, one of the fashionistas featured was the lovely Lily Melrose, vlogger and fashion blogger at llymlrs.com.  There was also a chance to get your nails manicured for free, which I'm sad to say I missed out on as I was in such a mad rush!

What I will say is the collection was awesome! I find New Look a bit hit and miss, but their dark denim, high waisted skinny jeans were on par with TOPSHOP and their Mom Jeans were really great quality.  The denim tunic I spotted will definitely be making its way into my wardrobe when its released in stores and New Look, if you're reading this, a little birdy told me that the vintage inspired denim cropped shirt had not been confirmed yet! Confirm it, god damn it! Its the most on trend piece in the whole collection!

CROWDFUNDING FOR MY ONLINE FASHION BRAND 20.2.14

Hey lovelies, as many of you are probably aware, from previous posts, Rebellion Frase is soon to become an online fashion brand! I've already gathered loads of amazing items for the brand including remastered vintage apparel, accessories and Jewellery and have been tirelessly working on the website which will be launching as soon as we have enough stock.  One of the primary parts of the brand was an ever changing and ever expanding T-shirt collection, Currently loads of hand drawn designs are being put together, many inspired by Steampunk, we have a gorgeous victorian hot air balloon design, being sketched out at the moment and I'm so excited to see it finished.

We have raised enough cash so far to get to where we needed to be, but to finish and get the brand up and running, we desperately need to raise more funds!  I'd heard that crowdfunding could be a great way to gather the extra money we need to start up, so I decided to set up a kickstarter page.

I put together a short video outlining how we will use the funding and also included some images of a few of our designs showing what the finished products will look like.  Please take a look at my Kickstarter page here at www.kickstarter.com/projects/1291102045/rebellion-frase-online-fashion-brand, I would be so greatful for any pledges, even £1 would really help and If you donate £30 you may chose a t-shirt from our collection to keep! Please please please dont forget to share our Kickstarter page with your friends and family.

Thanks loves

I was recently gifted this gorgeous dress by Karma Clothing, its made of a stretchy Jersey fabric and is so comfy and flattering for my shape.  You can buy this dress for just £11.99, which is such a bargain from www.karmaclothing.co.uk It also comes in several colours which is just marvelous.

I teamed the dress with this cute silver unicorn necklace which I was gifted from www.daisymaejewellery.com, they have a gorgeous selection of jewellery in their online store, all at really reasonable prices.

The bag is from Zara and is Great if you have many Apple products like me as it has pockets for your Macbook, ipad and iphone, I brought it last year so im unsure of the price I'm afraid.

These great little black boots are made of a suede type material, I just love them and they were an absolute bargain at only £15.00 from Primark.

For my makeup I applied my statement Matte Ruby Woo Lippy by MAC and some fluttery false eyelashes by eylure.

IN LOVE WITH FASHION BLOGGERS EVENT 12.2.14

On Saturday I was lucky enough to be invited to the Love Showroom in Great Portland Street, London, for an exclusive LFA bloggers event.  Im sure many of you have noticed that I have a slight obsession with the brand, In Love with Fashion, who not only stock their amazing collection online but are also in many large TOPSHOP Stores and more recently available on ASOS.  As a total keeno member of the Love Fashion Academy I was very excited to attend.  So on Friday I got up super early and made the arduous journey from Nottingham to London, my wonderful homeland!

Saturday was great, I met up with the Bestie and of course had a quick lunch and a cheeky cider in spoons. Which I completely forgot is about triple the price of Nottingham, Note self, earn more cash!

Obviously Photographs with Mr Holmes were taken, no brainer.

Then it was off to the Love Showroom!

We were greeted at the door with this amazing goodie bag, containing Girls Aloud Eylure Eyelashes, some gorgeous Jewellery by Bits and Bows and Daisy-Mae Jewellery, the fabulous LOVE Lookbook, some wickedly bright Barry M Nail Polish and the best gift of all £50 to spend at inlovewithfashion.com! There was also some yummy popcorn and drinks included too!

We munched on the beautifully pink Krispy Kreme doughnuts, drank some yummy drinks and drolled (not literally)  over the amazing SS14 collection.  I wanted to buy absolutely EVERYTHING.  But as a poorper (cry me a river) trying to save funds to start her own brand, alas and alack I could not buy even one thing! Sad times.

If rubbing shoulders with a room full of talented fashion bloggers and the LOVE team wasn't enough, we then got to hear some amazing industry insight from the guest speakers.

Firstly we got to hear from Sophie Johnson of MAD PR, who gave us a fantastic introduction to LOVE, its ethos and more about the history of the brand.  It was great to hear more about the brands roots and I now feel I know a lot more about In Love With Fashion.  She also gave us some great Insight into the LFA Programme and future events.

We then heard from the lovely Coco-Minnie who runs the social media for LOVE as well as the fashion academy.  She gave us some fantastic insight into how she got where she wanted to be within the fashion industry.  Her advice was golden.  This woman works so incredibly hard, she is on social media what seems like 24 hours a day, 7 days a week promoting the brand.

Lastly we heard from Naomi Rowland one of the duo behind the fashion blog Two Shoes one pair.  I must say I drew a lot of inspiration from Naomi, she had so much insight to share and was one of those people who just makes you want to get out there and go for it.  Im now a firm follower of her blog, If you love fashion as much as I do, I urge you to go check it out at www.twoshoesonepair.com

I had a fantastic day and I hope that this blogger event will be the first of many which I am invited too. Meeting the team at In Love With Fashion and also Naomi from Two Shoes One Pair was a wonderful experience, they are such lovely, hard working people. I would definitely say that above anything else the people behind the brand operate as a family, I think this is probably what makes them so successful.  If I could work for a brand like LOVE I think I would be a very happy girl.

Check out their collection here.  I'm off now to spend my voucher and dance around in my unicorn necklace!

Lots of Love
