*L'OCCITANE HANDCREAM REVIEW 31.1.14

I got these great free samples of hand cream from L'Occitane today and thought I would share them with you. I've never purchased anything from the beauty store for myself before, only gifts for my boyfriends step mum, but had a voucher for these three little gems, so thought I'd try them out to see how I felt about the products.

I had a wander around the store before claiming my free gift and really loved a lot of the products on offer, all of the packaging is so beautiful and the gift wrapping is just gorgeous.  I tested out a BB cream on the back of my hand, which had a lovely silky texture and a delicate scent, I was tempted to buy it, however, I like to think about my purchases before I go for it, as I quite often get buyers remorse.  So today I left the product and decided to first see if I liked the hand creams.  I must say I am now glad that I didn't make a purchase, not because of the hand Creams (ill come to those in a second) simply because of the rudeness I was greeted with when I went to claim my gift.  The bored shop assistant in the Nottingham store was clearly aggravated that I wasn't in the shop to buy, only to browse and claim my free products.  Which was such a shame as I really liked everything about the brand up to that point.  As a fashion Communication and Promotion graduate, I know how important it is to connect with your consumer, I feel that everything about a brand should be tied up in a neat little package, and that includes customer service.

But enough about that.  Lets get onto the hand creams themselves.  Gorgeous! I've just used the Amade, Delicious Hands, with Almond Milk and have totally fallen in love, this product may be on my Christmas and Birthday lists for life.  My hands feel so soft, after just one use and the smell is incredible.  Also included was a dry skin hand cream which is much thicker, but smells a little bit like a cheap bar of soap, I probably won't use it, but I think my boyfriend would as he lifts weights, so get calluses on his hands.  The third in the set is a cherry blossom hand cream, I like the packaging on this one the best, as it has pretty pink flowers all over it. I really love the smell of this one, weirdly it reminds me of the sun cream my mum always uses, but is slightly more floral, It's a thinner cream and is very silky to the touch.

I really love the packaging on all three products but feel that the naff little knitted pouch is a bit pointless and doesn't really match the brand aesthetic.  So all in all my rating of the service is 2/10, the pouch 3/10 and the Hand creams themselves is 9/10.

Thanks for reading my loves and Happy Friday!

MY FIRST EVER VIDEO EVERYDAY MAKEUP TUTORIAL 30.1.14

Hi my loves, So I finally bit the bullet and decided to put one of my videos on YouTube! The first of many hopefully.  I tell you what, its a bit of a faff, isn't! I swear I haven't spoken to my boyfriend for two days as I've had my eyes constantly glued to my computer screen, trying to edit this thing! Anyway enough about that.

This is my very first video, scary ey?!  I decided to just dive straight in with a make up tutorial/get ready with me type of theme, I'm sure these will improve over time, once I get to grips with everything, but for now, I really hope you enjoy my very first video! Also I'm not a make up artist, I'm a web producer, so if I'm doing anything wrong or you think my make up looks awful, please don't hate on me, this is a video for my subscribers, who appreciate what I do and I appreciate them back, so lets keep it light and fun shall we.

Lots of Love

BLOGGER OF THE WEEK KAYLA HADLINGTON 30.1.14

IMAGES FROM http://kaylahadlington.blogspot.co.uk/

Hi my loves, bloggers have always been great role models to me and have inspired me on so many different levels, whether through pushing the boundaries with my outfit choices or helping me decide what to do with my life, they always encourage me to be better and try new things.  It was with this in mind that I decided to start posting about bloggers that really inspire me or that I'm just generally in awe of.

This week I've decided to blog about Kayla Hadlington, a fashion blogger and fashion design student at the London College of Fashion (where I didn't get in, not that I'm jealous or anything) No really Nottingham Trent served me well and I wouldn't have changed it for anything.

So without further ado I present the lovely Miss Kayla Hadlington and her quirky style! She's just awesome.

Lots of Love

MAKEUP TUTORIAL VIDEO 28.1.14

I haven't gotten around to posting my own videos yet, mainly because every time I film something I just look ridiculous.  I have an affliction you see, in the form of a big face, my giant moon face eclipses the entire screen, its just not pretty! haha! But in the meantime, I'm absolutely obsessed with these beauty videos by Lauren Curtis.  She's an absolutely stunning make-up artist with a sickening amount of beauty products! Check her out! she's awesome, I tried out her prom make up tutorial and now its my go to look every time I go out.

I promise I'll start posting my videos as soon as possible. I've got so many hair and make up tutorials prepared!

Enjoy.

LATELY ON INSTAGRAM 28.1.14

Rebellion Frase Fashion Blog is on Instagram! Gis a follow @rebellionfrasefashionblog, for more up to date details of what I'm up too.  With the upcoming brand launch I'll be posting a lot of behind the scenes gems! From t-shirt designs that our art-workers are currently busy creating, to jewellery and vintage apparel, that our buyers and I are currently out sourcing! All very exciting and I'd really love your input of what you would like to see in the online store, after all this brand is for you guys! They'll also be a lot of behind the scenes photos of our lookbook shoots and promo videos coming up next month, I'm looking for my final few models too, so if you are in the Nottingham area and think you have what it takes, give me a little email, but enough about that, ill do a proper model post closer to the time!

But for now, this is what I've been up to lately on Instagram! I've been working with even more fantastic brands this month and been sent some great products to review.  I received some store credit from the fabulous and lovely people at inlovewithfashion.com and purchased my lovely red tartan dress (thank you very much!) I also received £20 worth of Primark vouchers from The Sun Newspaper, which I used to grab me some bargains and create a haul post for my lovely readers, I was super chuffed with the floral dress which I picked up for just £3, take a look here.

I also made a new friend, one of the best perks of blogging, the lovely Alice Louise of Forage and Find, creators of steam punk inspired Jewellery which is just so beautiful, check out the full post here.

I was nominated for a Liebster award (YAY!!) By the Lovely Hollie Furniss of GIVE ME MORE. I really enjoyed writing my post and nominating my fellow bloggers for the award too, If you don't know what the Liebster award is and would like to know more about it and also learn a lot more about me, check out the post here.

Hilariously I got to work trying to create some new t-shirt designs for the new brand (launching soon, more details to come) I tried my best to create this steam punk inspired hot air balloon design, but failed miserably as I'm no artist!(clearly, haha) My lovely art-workers have got the general gist of the look I was going for though (somehow! Poor things), so have started work creating something wonderful out of my mess!

I hope you enjoy my instagram posts as much as I enjoy yours, give me a follow @rebellionfrasefashionblog and I'll be sure to check out your Instagrams too.

Hope everyone's having a lovely day.

THANK YOU'S & DECISIONS 27.1.14

It's been just over a month since I started my blogging journey and I just wanted to say how overwhelmed and Incredibly grateful I am to have reached nearly 800 followers (about 40 to go) via bloglovin, I'm shocked, but also very happy.  I began this Journey because I was really missing being involved within the fashion industry since graduating university where I studied Fashion Communication and Promotion.

Creating brands, coming up with new ad campaigns and working with some of the most talented, fabulous, fierce and quite frankly scariest people I have ever met, made me so incredibly happy.  I told myself at times that I hated fashion, it wasn't for me, It was...well...frightening.  But working in a job I hate and seeing what I can do when I set my mind to it was even more frightening and has made me form a decision, which I hope will prove to be the right one.

Some people will call me crazy and say I'll fail, but isn't that what life is about? Taking risks in order to live your dreams?  It is my blog Rebellion Frase and her wonderful readers, whom I cherish, that have formed me to make my wonderful decision.  When my contract runs out at the horrible job at the end of this week, I will be leaving, I will then do what I have wanted to do for a long time, which is to create an online fashion brand.  And I'll be sharing every inch of my brands journey with you, because it was the 102 fabulous comments and emails that I received this afternoon, from YOU, that made me realise, what it was I truly wanted to do.

Follow your dreams my loves and above all else, just BE HAPPY.

BUY ME

As you all know I have a slight obsession with inlovewithfashion.com at the moment.  If you've read my previous posts you'll have noticed that I've wanted this Red Tartan dress as seen on TOWIE's Lucy Mecklenburgh for quite some time. So when I was gifted some inlovewithfashion.com store credit I immediately purchased it and then sat by my front door like an eager little pup waiting for its arrival! I think I've had it for a week now and I swear I've worn it like four times, In fact, I'm wearing it right now! Don't worry I wash it in-between wears, I'm not an animal! It fits me so nicely and its very versatile, I wear it to work with a little black cardigan and casually with some nice jewellery, my leather Jacket and Favourite TOPSHOP ankle boots.  This dress comes in an array of colours and cost just £30, I will not rest until I own them all,   In fact I'm planning on owning every single dress from the website, It might take me a while, but I'll get there ;)
