BENEFIT THEY'RE REAL MASCARA REVIEW 25.1.14

Hello again my loves.  I was recently gifted a cute, miniature version of Benefit's They're real Mascara, to try out and review on my blog, so here goes;

I've tried about a million different mascaras, cheap ones, expensive ones, ones that promise the earth (and rarely deliver!) and occasionally ones that I just, well, love!  So when I was asked to try this one out I jumped at the chance.  When I go out I usually wear false lashes, there is nothing wrong with my lashes, I wouldn't say they are particularly fine or sparse but I do enjoy the look and feeling of big bold lashes, they make me feel far more feminine and pretty.  Whilst this mascara gives the promise of a 'false lash effect', its a fact that the only way to get said effect, is with actual false lashes, so I wasn't expecting to be throwing out the falsies just yet, however what I got from this mascara was quite unexpected.

I've got to say 100% hand on heart, this is the BEST mascara I have ever used and I'm really not just saying that!  Although, still not as good as my falsies, there is something in the mascara that does actually seem to lengthen and thicken them like no other mascara I have used previously.   Its like magic, or it could just be the shape of the brush, it has this nobbly separator type thing (how very descriptive of me) on the top and the rubbery brush is great for coating the lashes without clump.  I have found if you put too much on it can look almost crumbly, which isn't a good look but then, I think that's the case with most mascaras to be honest.

SNOW WHITE & THE SOUR APPLE 25.1.14

I love to freshen up my nails on a Saturday morning.  Today I've gone for something very different for me.  I got this effect by first applying my Primark Angelica Nail lacquer in Snow White, costing just £2.50,  If you haven't done so before id give these fantastic Nail polishes a try, there reasonably priced, come in a great assortment of colours and go on like a dream.

After applying the Snow White as a base I then applied this fantastic speckled effect Nail Lacquer by Barry M in Sour Apple.  Its a clear polish with turquoise and yellow speckles in it, This polish costs £4 and is available from all good stockists of Barry M products for example, Boots, Superdrug and River Island.

The only way I would describe this look is...does anyone remember those giant gob stoppers that were white with coloured speckles in them? Well they look like those, you'd lick them for days and days until they were confiscated by mum! To this day I don't know of anyone who actually finished one!
