PINK BOHO HAIR 5.2.14

I am absolutely loving all of the pink hair i'm seeing at the moment, but I'm not really brave enough to take the plunge and actually dye it, so Instead I've opted for a less permanent alternative.

Hair chalks are a great way to add colour to the hair without the use of dye.  They can be purchased from places such as Topshop and Urban Outfitters and cost about £5.  I just googled 'hair chalk' and found a whole host of different brands and colours.  The pack I got came with two colours, Pink and Turquoise, my dog ate the turquoise one and ruined the carpet while she was at it so that left me with the pink.

I took strands of my hair from the ends which is blonde, the chalks work best on very light hair, where the colour is most vibrant.  I literally just used the chalk to colour in my hair.

I watched a tutorial of how to do this cute little boho hairstyle the other day so thought I would recreate it, as I wanted to try something a bit different.  Its easy enough, just plait the two front sections of the hair loosely, secure with hair pins at the end, then loosen the plait by pulling it from the sides, this helps flatten the plait so that it sits nicely on the side of your head, then secure the plaits round the back of the head using hair pins.

I really like this style and I think I'll wear my hair this way when I go to the LWF Fashion Bloggers event this Saturday.

Please tell me what you think and also let me know if you'll be there on Saturday.

Lots of love

  1. You're so lucky to have blonde hair! Since my hair is pitch black, hair chalk barely shows up that it's so frustrating D:

  5. Love the look you've gone for! I couldn't dye mine either (and it'd take a lot of effort with my hair colour), so this looks like the next best thing :) xx Rebecca - UK Style Blog

  6. I always want to use hair chalk but I opted into dying my hair black so it'll never work on me. The pink looks really good on you and I'm loving the hairstyle.
